Wine Whisky Spirits Champagne Armagnac & Cognac

Notoriously difficult to handle, Pinot Noir is one of the most highly regarded red grape varieties. The Cote de Nuits in Burgundy produces arguably the finest examples of Pinot Noir: complex, silky, with aromas of raspberry and gamey, earthy notes. It is also grown in Canada, New Zealand, Chile, South Africa, Australia and California, where the 2004 film ‘Sideways’ brought about a surge in popularity. Words such as ‘seductive’, ‘sexy’ and ‘sublime’ are often used to describe Pinot Noir at its best.
