 Hirsch Reserve Bourbon hails from the time-honored pot-still tradition; a slower, more work intensive, more expensive relic of a bygone era. Distilled in the spring of 1974 and no longer produced, this rare bourbon is the only example of its type available today. Matured in barrel up to the time of bottling at 16 years of age, this whiskey deliciously illustrates the benefits of traditional cask aging. It is the colour of Amber, with red highlights. On the nose it is sweet, oaky, heavy and creamy, with background orange & spice. On the palate it is thick with caramel, rich fruits and creamy woody sweetness. The finish is long, silky and mouth coating. This really is as good as it gets, a truly stunning whiskey. |
