 Midleton Very Rare is a premium Irish blended whiskey. Each bottle is individually numbered. This whiskey is produced in very small batches with only 50 barrels being released every year. This blended Irish whiskey is triple distilled in Midelton. Although this is a new Irish whiskey with production starting in the 1980’s. Each Midelton Very Rare is aged between 12 and 25 years in individually selected Bourbon or Sherry casks. The skill, style and finish are based on historical distilling of whiskey going way back before the start of Scotch production, however it is still the master distiller that choices the whiskies to create the blend. The Irish whiskies can be traced back in excess of 700 years There is a new Midelton Vintage absorbed quickly into the consumer market very quickly and if we do not have any Midelton very rare in stock it’s because we may possibly either be sold out or waiting for the small consignment we are allocated. For a 14-year period the Midleton plant and Bushmills in Northern Ireland were the only whiskey distilleries in the country. An Irish whiskey in the main uses malts and single grain whiskey blends unless stipulated. The Very Rare Midelton has a distinctive rich colour combined with an exquisite smooth nose.
