 Blanton's has the most labour intensive bottling line in the bourbon business. The process is all by hand: hand filled, hand sealed (stopper and wax), hand applied label, hand numbered (each and every bottle), and hand-placed in the box. On the nose there is marmalade and honeycomb wrapped up in a rye spiciness. On the palate it arrives silkily on the tastebuds, but this soon opens up into a full flavour explosion of everything from leathery liquorice to ginger and demerara oak. |
