 Miyagikyo 15 year old Single Malt Whisky is from the Nikka stable. The Miyagikyo Distillery, founded 1969, is located on the island of Honshu to the west of the city of Sendai. This site was chosen for its pure air and high humidity levels which are perfect for ageing in barrels. The environment is similar to that of the Cairngorms in Scotland. It is the colour of golden amber. On the nose it has nutty and spicy notes with smooth honey undertones. On the palate it has rounded soft tannins and tantalising sherry wood mixes with the honey and spice to produce a world class taste. |
