 Auchentoshan (ock'un'tosh'un) 10 year-old single Lowland malt Scotch whisky has the colour of a May sunset, the body is light and smooth and the nose has hints of tangerine and raisins with a lime freshness. The palate's tangerine and fruity flavours gives this whisky a sweetness that is very definate in the after taste and the finish is light, fresh and clean. Auchentoshan Distillery is Glasgow's closest distillery, and the only one in Scotland to distil its whisky three times. This unique triple distillation method creates the light, elegant whisky for which the distillery is famed. Nestling at the foot of the Old Kilpatrick Hills in Dunbartonshire, the distillery has stood guard on the Clyde since it was established in 1823. While the precious malt within matured, an endless procession of maritime traffic travelled to and fro on the Clyde. |
