 12-year-old Speyside malt Scotch whisky matured in bourbon casks, then sweet oloroso casks. Each part of the ageing process lends different qualities to the resulting whisky. The traditional wood softens and adds character, the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavour. Balvenie Double Wood is smooth and mellow with the promises of flavoursome Sherry on the nose.
