 The key signature flavours of Aberlour can be discovered and enjoyed in Aberlour 15 Year Old Sherry Finish. It is matured for a minimum of 15 years in a combination of sherry and bourbon oak casks then finished in new oloroso sherry casks to develop its generous and rewarding flavours. It is offered in a luxurious deep brown and bronze gift carton. Aberlour 15 year old can currently be found in the USA, UK, Canada and is soon to be available in many other countries. Matured first in bourbon and sherry casks, then finished in selected sherry butts, this is an elegant single malt of enormous charm. Colour Golden amber. Nose A confection of marzipan and the alluring fragrance of geraniums, with hints of sherry and orange blossom, and a light smokiness. Taste Soft and spicy with a lightly toasted oaky flavour, overlaid with a sherry-sweet nuttiness mixed with ripe apricots and toffee that shamelessly seduces the palate. Finish Gentle and mellow, with a distinct spiciness and subtle hints of mint. |
