It is traditionally made with the maceration taking 15 days to 3 weeks after which the aging process takes place in concrete tanks where oak chips are added to give the finished wine some complexity. Dragon Seal wines are made from 100% Chinese grapes, selected in the best vineyards of Huailai county, Hebei Province, one of the top areas in China to grow quality grapes for Winemaking. These vines were originally planted by Pernod Ricard 25 years ago and are authentic French Vines. The Huailai county has a long history of grape growing, and is surrounded by the Great Wall of China. This region offers suitable terrain for high-quality red wines: great sunshine, natural low yielding vines due to dry climate.
