Edinburgh Gin has just been awarded 'Best Drink' at the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards! Edinburgh Gin is a brand new, small batch, big juniper gin with a particularly Scottish twist. Distilled in a 200-year-old copper pot still, the botanicals added include the softer, less pungent Scottish juniper, heather and milk thistle. On the nose, it is clean, fresh and spicy and in the mouth, there is a hint of pine with heathery scented notes. It's a well balanced, crisp gin with a gingery spiciness and laid back citrus. Edinburgh Gin has been awarded a Gold Medal at the 2010 SIP Spirit Awards in San Francisco. |
