 Williams Elegant Crisp Gin is unusual in that it is made from spirit distilled from organic cider apples. Having been through the copper pot still and column in the Herefordshire Chase distillery, with its 42 bubble plates (twice) and then the Carter Head style gin still, the finished product is distilled over 100 times. The flavour is of juniper highlighted by the citrus and sweetness of the apples, elderflowers and hops. The textured, sophisticated mouthfeel is due to the organic apples and the pure water from the aquifer running under the orchards. In a gin and tonic, serve this lovingly-made English gin with a slice of apple to bring out the flavour. |
