Gin Mare is a new super premium spirit from the Mediterranean. Inspired by its provenance, Gin Mare's signature botanicals are the flavours synonymous with the region: Arbequina olives, rosemary, basil and thyme. The Mediterranean influence is also reflected in the packaging, a stylistic interpretation of the botanicals and sea. Gin Mare is distilled in small batches in custom made stills, to a strength of 42.7% abv. The distillery is in a 19th C chapel on the outskirts of Barcelona along the Costa Dorada. In addition to its 4 signature botanicals, the gin also has juniper, coriander, cardamom and citrus. Botanicals are macerated for over 36 hrs and distilled separately before being bended by hand, other than the citrus elements, which are macerated in clay jars for a year. The resulting flavour is bold and rich, with its subtle accents of olive.
