Briottet Crème de Mure uses good quality blackberries to give the best flavour possible. Known by the Ancient Greeks and the Romans, the blackberry was not discovered in Europe until the 19th century. Picked when ripe, the fruit is black, shiny, very juicy and a little sharp. This is recreated brilliantly by this Crème de Mûre and it can be served with still white wines, sparkling wines and champagnes. BRIOTTET SA. is a family business founded in France in 1836. Initially wine merchants, they later contributed to the development of the aperitif " Blanc Cassis " or Kir, then production began to include regional liqueurs and in particular Crème de Cassis de Dijon, which now represents 60% of their business.
