Briottet Crème de Chataigne uses chestnuts, the variety used to make marrons glaces. Briottet's Crème de Châtaigne gives the full, smooth, sweet flavour of the fruit. Ideal served over ice cream (vanilla or chestnut), or with melon. Briottet SA. is a family business founded in France in 1836. Initially wine merchants, they later helped develop the aperitif " Blanc Cassis " or Kir, then production began to include regional liqueurs and in particular Crème de Cassis de Dijon, which now represents 60% of their business.
