The Laird family has been producing Laird's Applejack in Monmouth County, New Jersey since 1698. They are the oldest native distilled beverage producer in the United States and were issued with license number 1 after Prohibition. Laird's Applejack 3-4 year old is made from only carefully selected, whole, tree ripened apples. Many varieties of apple are used, including Jonathans, Winesaps, Stamens, Pippens and Delicious apples. The blend is 35% Apple Brandy and 65% neutral spirit giving a hint of apple flavour and aroma. The apple brandy base and neutral spirit gives Laird Applejack a unique smoothness. |
