 Calvados Coeur de Lion Vintage 1974 AOC Pays D'Auge Christian Drouin won the Gold Medal at the Concours Modial in Brussels 2004. This Calvaods goes thorugh a double distillationand a short aging finished in port casks. It has an amber colour with coppery hints. This is a gourmet calvados marrying toasted aromas with praline. In the mouth It feels round and mellow. The vintage years correspond to the year of distillation and not to the apple harvest. Vintage Calvados is stored in casks, and the year of bottling appears on the label. |
