Laurent Perrier Cuvee Ultra Brut was the first Grand Vin sans Sucre developed in 1981. Winemaker Alan Terrier selects only the ripest grapes to make this unique wine which has no dosage to adjust the sweetness level prior to release. As a result the balance of sugar and acidity must be perfect at the time of harvest. This Champagne is a blend of 55% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, and is matured 4 years before release. Ideal both as an aperitif and for those looking for wines with minimal sugar for dietry reasons.
