 To the uninitiated, Demi-Sec Champagnes can seem rather naff. However, the higher dosage of sugar actually balances perfectly with the natural acidity of the wine and makes it not only much more attractive to many consumers but also makes it a perfect end to a meal. Made predominantly with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with up to 20% Chardonnay in the final assemblage and aged for at least 2-3 years before release. |
