Taittinger Nocturne is a new Sec champagne, designed specifically to be enjoyed late into the evening. Made from 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the finished blend includes over 35 crus from several different harvests. The 'dosage' (twice that of Taittinger Brut), combined with the rounded quality and maturity of the wine, gives it a distinctive body and smoothness.. The nose is subtle and fresh, with aromas of white blossom and ripe fruit, and overtones of yellow peaches and dried apricots. The palate is soft, mellow and very fresh. All in all a rounded, rich, mellow wine which is really smooth and well balanced. This champagne is designed for the evening and drinking throughout dinner . A delicious accompaniment to seafood and foie gras, Nocturne will have champagne lovers partying all night long.
