 Alchemist Armagnac 15 yo is the colour of rich deep amber. On the nose the aromas of honeyed raisins, chocolate, coffee and vanilla are to die for. The palate is rich, with lots of stewed fruits and toasted oak. Very smooth and long with flavours of sweet oranges and vanilla. The Saint Pastou family has been producing Armagnac at the Chateau de Castex for the last 150 years. By using grapes exclusively from their own vines and with skilful distillation and management of their maturing stocks, this small Domaine has achieved a tremendous reputation for outstanding quality. |
